The best description of Kinfolk is as some kind of hidden clubhouse that you would want to hang out in with your friends. With custom-made bicycle frames lining the ceiling to a graffiti-style drink menu, Kinfolk carries through with the “hangout spot” mood, which doesn’t end with the decorations. The drink menu features solid selections, like Negra Modelo beer, and some tasty house recipes, such as the Strong Island Iced Tea, or Ginger Mint Mojito. Imagine a spicy mojito in hand, elbows set on the wooden table, talking with friends about the possibilities of the evening… and Kinfolk hosts an ideal place for this sort of gathering.

東京都、中目黒。中目黒駅より目黒川を渡り、少し歩いたところにKinfolkがある。花屋の横を進んだ二階にあり、一見わかりづらい。しかし、いかにも 通の人が訪れるような雰囲気の漂うバーラウンジだ。オーナーのライアンはロサンゼルスの出身。とても気さくな彼を慕って訪れる外国のお客も多い。店内は日 本家屋をバーラウンジにリノベーションされている。ブラウンを基調としており、日本のヴィンテージインテリアなどが置かれ、どこか懐かしい気持ちにさせて くれるような、誰もが落ち着ける空間となっている。天井には多くのピストバイクのフレームが飾られており、バーラウンジだけでなく、ピストも取り扱うな ど、‘ピスト×憩いの場’というところでも多くの方がKinfolkを訪れる。多くのドリンクが用意されているのだが、なかでも私はジンジャー・ミント・ モヒートをお勧めしたい。クラッシュアイスで冷えたラムを、ミントのすっきりとした爽快感、そしてジンジャーの辛みとともに頂くのが絶妙なのである。ぜひ 飲んでいただきたいドリンクである。親しい仲間で集まり、気軽に落ち着ける空間で時間を過ごしたいという人には、ぜひ訪れていただきたいバーラウンジであ る
