The idea behind Cerchio revolves around connection. In speaking to the owner, known to his friends as Aniki, the atmosphere he is after is making the customers feel at home. His years spent cooking in Italy provided plenty of inspiration to create such a place in Cerchio. As well as the inspiration for an inviting feel, Aniki also brought the cuisine of Italy back to Tokyo. Various main dish pastas are followed up by authentic desserts such as pudding and cream puffs. Take out is also offered. The downstairs area is roomier, offering both an exhibition space and host to private party bookings. 中目黒にあるカフェイタリアンCherchio(チェルキオ)。中目黒駅より恵比寿方面へ山手通り沿いに位置する。Cherchioとはイタリア語で「輪」を意味する。笑顔が「輪」となり、いつも「和」でいられる場所でありたいというオーナーの願いが込められている。気さくなオーナーは７年間イタリアにて修行を経験し、帰国後、本場のイタリアンを楽しめる同店をオープンさせた。店内は１階にカウンター席、地下にテーブル席があり、地下に降りるとまるで隠れ家のような落ち着いた空間となっている。リゾットやニョッキなどの料理から、イタリア産生ハムなど、ワインと一緒に楽しめるメニューも充実している。そして入口にあるショーケースに並べられたスイーツも評判。テイクアウト可能、また店頭からも購入できるので仕事帰りに買っていく人も多いそう。昼間はカフェ、そして夜はレストランバーとして営業している同店。深夜までオープンしているので仲の良い友人、あるいは恋人と訪れてみてはいかがだろうか。落ち着いた空間と時間を満喫できるだろう。
